REMEMBRANCE DAY LITURGY

November 11th is Remembrance Day in Canada, also known as Armistice Day and “poppy day” around the world. It’s our annual reminder of significant sacrifices made in the past that have led to current freedoms. It’s observed on this date to commemorate the end of World War I, which officially took place on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918.

**Parent teacher interviews are taking place on November 17th (evening) and November 18th (morning).  You are now able to book an interview time via School Day.  If you would like an interview time please visit School Day.

Scholastic Book Fair at SVA

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to SVA Monday, November 14th to Friday, November 18th! The Book Fair will take place in the Library Learning Commons and will operate during the school hours, and then extend until 4:30 pm each operating day. On Thursday, November 17th, the hours will extend to 8 pm and on Friday, November 18th, parents are welcome between the hours of 9

Dance-A-Thon Update

DANCE a Thon Success!!  A BIG THANK YOU to our families who had donated to our School Dance a Thon. Together we raised $9,600.00. Students have won a PJ day on Wednesday November 16th!  Monies raised will go towards the purchasing of technology, mats for our Primary students and manipulatives for each division.

York Catholic Schools Are Closed on Friday, November 4

Dear Families of York Catholic District School Board,

The situation with provincial bargaining remains fluid, but we want our families to have enough time to plan for alternative childcare arrangements for tomorrow. For that reason, and for the health, safety and well-being of our students and staff, York Catholic DSB schools will be closed to students on Friday, November 4.
